A source close to the Iranian delegation participating in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) talks in Vienna told that the conclusion of nuclear negotiations in the Austrian capital requires a political decision by the US administration.

The source told that political decisions by all parties of the talk including the US are what is currently needed to end the negotiations

According to IRNA website, he also said that expert and informal meetings and discussion between Iran and other parties will continue to hold as before.

The eighth round of JCPOA talks started in Vienna December 6, 2021. The talks mainly focus on removal of anti-Iran sanctions and resolving some critical issues.

Iran's top nuclear negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani who leads Iran's delegations to the talks will pay a short visit to Tehran tonight as part of his usual consultations with senior Iranian officials.

Despite significant progress in the negotiations, a number of important issues still remained unsolved and a final agreement seems out of reach yet as making the final decisions requires political decisions by western parties, especially Washington.
