Senior Iranian cleric arrives in Pakistan
Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan Mohammad Ali Hosseini and Iranian Culture Counselor Ehsan Khazaei received Hojjatoleslam Hamid Shahriari and Member of Iranian Assembly of Experts Molavi Nazir Ahmad Salami at Islamabad International Airport.
Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought is scheduled to attend various events during his stay in the Pakistani capital, including a conference on the unity of the Islamic Ummah, a meeting with the chairman of the Pakistan Islamic Ideology Council, some religious officials, and senior Islamic scholars.
Later Hojjatoleslam Shahriari will travel to Lahore and Karachi to meet and consult with Pakistani religious leaders.
The Islamic Unity Conference will be held on Monday by the National Solidarity Council of Pakistan under the chairmanship of Sahibzadah Abul Khair Zubair, Liaqat Baloch, the secretary general of the Council, with the presence of Hojjatoleslam Shahriari Hojjatul, Nazir Salami and Pakistani personalities in Islamabad.
