Iraqi Kurdish delegation departs for Iran's Kermanshah

A delegation from Halabja, Iraqi Kurdistan region left for Kermanshah, western Iran to develop relations.

Speaking to reporters, Halabja Governor Azad Tofiq said the delegation is to hold meetings with Iranian officials.

The meetings are aimed at promoting economic relations and developing border gates, he said.

He added that both sides will try to boost border exchanges volume.

Developing Poshteh and Shushami gates and opening Sazan border gate are on the agenda of the negotiations between Iranian and Iraqi Kurdish officials, Tofiq said.

The two sides will also try to facilitate Iranian passengers' commutes from western provinces to Halabja.

According to the latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration, Iraq is the main target of Kermanshah’s exports.

Detergents, evaporative products, home appliances, tomato, tile, plastic bags, coolers and ice cream are among the goods exported via the province’s borders to the Arab country.
