Iran's Gross Domestic Product up 65%

Iran Statistics Center says Iran's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 6.5 percent in the first six months of this Iranian calendar year of 1395 (started on March 20) compared to the figure in the same period last year.

The Center said the GDP in fixed prices of 1376 (1997-8) grew in the first six months of this year, reaching 331.861 billion rials, taking oil into consideration, and 316.334 billion rials without oil.

The report said the GDP was 311.558 billion rilas, including oil, and 302.682 billion rilas, minus oil, in the same period last year.
