Iran's Ambassador to Australia Abdolhossein Vahaji said on Saturday that Australian Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment Steven Ciobo will visit Tehran on Saturday.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with IRNA on Saturday, Vahaji outlined obstacles on the way of expansion of economic cooperation between Iran and Australia.

He expressed deep concern about the non-standard situation in Manus and Nauru refugee camps.

The Iranian ambassador strongly criticized Canberra government officials for their propaganda against Iran over human rights and introducing Australia as Utopia.

He said opening of the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) in Iran shows Canberra's interest in expansion of relations with Iran.

The ambassador said that during visit of Australian Foreign Minister to Iran Julie Bishop and the visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif to Australia good meetings were held.

Representatives from various economic and trade sectors, including the agricultural, industry, mines, servicing, banking, energy, health and academic sectors were present and held talks with their Iranian counterparts.

The Iranian ambassador in Australia said that Australian Private Sector constituted major portion of the members of the delegation.

A number of the members of Australian delegation are willing to initiate trade ties with Iran and during the visit they would work to prepare the ground for their presence in Iran.
