Iran, Turkey hold joint economic conference

Iran and Turkey held a joint economic conference.

Head of Istanbul chamber of industries and Head of Tehran Chamber of Commerce Masoud Khansari took part in the conference.

Turkey is one of the countries that Iran could expand ties with which after lifting sanctions, Khansari said, adding, economic exchanges between Iran and Turkey totals $10-15 billion, and Turkey is Iran’s 4th largest trade partner.

He said bilateral financial exchanges between Iran and Turkey could expand through rising bilateral investment as well as investment in third parties.

Khansari noted that petrochemistry, clothing, power generation, energy and related industries are among industries in which Turkey succeeded considerably, and Iran, in return, could act as a raw material and energy supplier for joint investment.
