Iran traders, Russia economic delegation review latest developments in ties
Iranian businesses held a meeting with the visiting Russian economic delegation to discuss the latest developments in bilateral economic relations.
The Tuesday meeting included participants from Iranian companies active in Russia and the 100-member delegation from Russia’s industrial, agricultural and commercial sectors.
The Russian delegation was led by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Sergey Katyrin.
Prior to the meeting, Chairman of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Gholamhossein Shafei exchanged views with Katyrin about investment, provincial cooperation, railroads, shipping, transportation, etc.
Katyrin described the exit of foreign companies from Russia due to anti-Russia sanctions as an ample opportunity for successful Iranian companies.
The Russian delegation is to visit the northern and central Iranian provinces of Gilan and Isfahan to hold talks with provincial officials on the expansion of ties.
