Iranian Minister of Petroleum Javad Owji met with his two European counterparts in Baku to confer on global energy crisis, export of technical engineering services, export of equipment, expanding bilateral ties and various fields of cooperation.

On the sidelines of the 27th Baku Energy Forum, Iranian Minister of Petroleum met with Romanian Energy Minister Virgil-Daniel Popescu and Bulgarian Energy Minister Alexander Nikolov.

The Romanian Energy Minister Virgil-Daniel Popescu made a speech at the 27th Baku Energy Forum about the European energy crisis and the carbon transition.

The Iranian minister of petroleum left Tehran for Azerbaijan’s capital on Wednesday to attend the 27th Baku Energy Forum and negotiate with the officials present at the three-day event.

Meanwhile, Iranian Minister of Petroleum Javad Owji and Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov signed a memorandum of understanding to increase Turkmen gas transfers through Iran to Azerbaijan.

Owji met and held talks with Jabbarov on Friday in Baku, Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on enhancing mutual cooperation.
