A member of the Board of Representatives of the Tehran Chamber has said that the resuscitation of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal would pave the way for Iran to boost its economic ties with the world.

Pointing to the prospect of Iran’s economic growth in the coming year, Mehrad Ebad said in remarks to ILNA, “if the Iran deal is reached and if we can approve the FATF immediately afterward, we will be able to have good economic relations with the world.”

“We hope this happens soon,” he said, adding that it surely can have a good effect on our economic growth and can lead to the expansion of our oil and non-oil exports.

Responding to a question on the effect of the Ukraine war on the foreign economy of Iran with other countries, he stressed that we should have interaction with the entire world.

“That we want to have interactions with one or two specific countries our situation will not be better than what it is,” he added.

“We hope that the Ukraine war will come to an end soon and Russia and Ukraine reconcile with each other so that we can do business in a world peace,” he said.

He added that Iran has a long way to take the place of Russia.
