Araqchi hopes for resolution of nuclear issue

ILNA: Deputy Foreign Minister and senior negotiator Seyed Abbas Araqchi on Thursday expressed hope for resolution of nuclear issue.

Speaking to the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting(IRIB), Araqchi referred to the eight hours of discussions between Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad - Javad Zarif and the US Secretary of State John Kerry and noted that negotiations between Iran and the G۵ + ۱ is somehow complicated and there is still a distance to reach solution.

Iran and G۵ + ۱ have to discuss various issues, including the removal of Iran’s sanction and in the meantime, Iran’s Heavy water reactor and level of enrichment, the official added.

Araqchvi also hoped for reaching a comprehensive nuclear agreement with world powers and said that all sides follow the talks in a serious way.

Iranian foreign minister held talks with the US Secretary of State John Kerry on Wednesday.

The meeting between the two top diplomats was held prior to the bilateral talks of their deputies to be held in the Swiss city on January ۱۵-۱۷.

The planned three - day engagements would be followed by a political - director level talks to be held on January ۱۸ between the Islamic republic and the P۵ + ۱ countries(US, Britain, China, France and Russia plus Germany).
