Mottaki: 3 US citizens entered Iran illegally

ILNA: Iran Foreign Minister said on Tuesday that three arrested American committed the crime of entering the country illegally, while accusation of espionage is being reviewed.

Speaking in press conference Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki told reporters "The crime they committed is of illegally entering Iranian territory. The other things are at the level of accusations."
"The judiciary is examining their case we should wait for their final verdict ," Mottaki said.
Shane Bauer, 27, Sarah Shourd, 31, and Josh Fattal, 27 arrested on July near the border with Iraq.
Tehran's chief prosecutor Abbas Jaffari Doulatabadi said on Monday that investigations were continuing.
Referring to Turkey's role in region Mottaki said '' Iran always had an important role in the region and welcomes Turkey's new role.''
He added '' Iran tries to improve it's ties with Turkey to solve regional issues''.
Foreign Ministry underlined his visit to India adding that he will discuss regional issues including Afghanistan with his counterparts.
Mottaki pointed to Emir of Qatar's trip to Iran as a mediator between Iran and Morocco '' Reviewing bilateral agreements between two countries as well as issues in Morocco will be discuss in the meeting.''
Asked at a conference about the Yemeni reports of Iranian involvement, Mottaki said: “A country which seeks a role to establish peace and stability in all countries in the region cannot have a role in creating tensions.”
“We strongly warn that financial and arms support of the radical groups and also a suppressive attitude towards the people would have improper consequences,” Mottaki added.
Foreign Ministry reiterated Iran stance on Yemen rejecting the western accusations ''Our position is not creating tensions we believe instability in region would have vast effect on the area therefore we ask neighbours of Yemen do not to intervene in it's internal affairs.''
Referring to Saudi attacks on Shiite in Yemen, he added Al Qaeda effort to consolidate it's terrorist database in Yemen, separatist movements and issues between Yemen government and Shiite have involves internal and foreign policy of Yemen we aim to help these problems.
Mottaki stressed that big country like Morocco should review issue of Gaza.
New foreign ministry spokesman Ramin Mehman Parast also introduced on Tuesday,
