Prof. Eric Bouffet, Head of International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP) mentioned his 17 years of experience in multidisciplinary treatment and said: “I do not seesuccess for the medical staff without multidisciplinary treatment. During and after treatment process the patient faces different social challenges which indicate the necessity of multidisciplinary treatment through an integrated and unified management to reduce these challenges and difficulties. In fact, multidisciplinary treatment is both good for the child and for doctors because of being time-efficient andproviding the doctors with the sense of satisfaction in their career.”

Dr. AzimMehrvar, Head of MAHAK Pediatric Cancer Treatment and Research Center (MPCTRC), regarding multidisciplinary treatment stated: “multidisciplinary approach is crucial in cancer treatment through which the patients and the doctor’s safety can be provided.” He also mentioned the importance of multidisciplinary treatment in MAHAK that during the past 10 years of its hospital activity, all treatment protocols are rooted in the collective wisdom of medical and supportive experts.

MAHAK has always striven to improve the quality of medical and support services provided for cancer-stricken children and their families but this can only be realized by the cooperation of all medical and support teams, systemic thinking, integrated management and collective wisdom. We hope for the day when we witness the development of humanity and empathy all around the world which will make it a safer and happier place to live.
