Worker activists says, workers' expectations should be met.

"Akbar Alipour",  Woker Union Activists, in an interview with ILNA, regarding current situation of workers and upcoming election told: "Workers and their families have the majority of votes, therefore we expect more respect and attention to workers and their legal rights."

Alipour added: "Workers and their unions, in their choices, are going to look at the amount of commitment that each candidate contributed to their rightful demands and the efforts were put to meet these appeals. As such we hope the selected candidates, rather than taking contractors’ positions, would have more workers’ understanding and standpoints."

Naming cancelation of temporary contracts in permanent jobs, reforming Labor Act according to trilateralism and unions’ freedom of act and most importantly the worker’s living condition, the most vital workers’ current demands and underlined: "These are workers ultimate pleas and they are going to seek and follow them from the next cabinet."

"Workers are not voting machines. If they are going to participate in the election, they intend to contribute to their own fate and future. As such, saying that workers shouldn’t be political is not true. As their living is tied with political issues, they have to actively participate in the events" he underscored.

Worker activists continued: "We can’t expect, workers step aside after voting and won’t look for their appeals and demands."
