Iran's Parliament Member called for government to act in reclaiming the labor bills before the start of evaluation of the bill in the commission.

According to head of Iran’s Parliament’s Social Commission, "Salman Khodadadi", if government would not take steps to reclaim drafts of Labor Act amendments, by ending Nowruz holidays, the commission would start assessing and evaluating the content of the bills.

Khodadadi added that so far, the government hasn’t initiated any negotiations regarding reclaiming and repealing the bill, however top legislative official also told that before debating the bill, the commission would hold a session with representatives, contractors, workers and worker union and government in the social commission.

Parliament member underlined that the worker’s objections to the bill should be taken into consideration or the bill reclaimed.

"If the generalities would ratified in the session, evaluating and debating the details would top the commission’s agenda" he added.

Highlighting that the legislative procedure would take about 4 months, Khodadadi told that if the generalities would ratified by the Commission members, the board will take further steps to minimize the conflicting and controversial points.
