Iran nuclear chief arrives in London

Vice-President and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) arrived in London on Tuesday evening to hold talks with UK officials.

Ali-Akbar Salehi's visit to London is being made at the invitation of UK Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Boris Johnson.

Upon his arrival, Salehi told the press that during his almost two-day stay he is going to have meetings with Johnson, British parliamentarians, media elite, and UK foreign secretary’s scientific advisor. He is also scheduled to make a visit to a factory that is world-famous for making particle accelerator.

Before going to London, Salehi had participated in the 20th Edoardo Amaldi Conference on International Cooperation for Enhancing Nuclear Safety, Security, Safeguards and Non-Proliferation in Rome.
