First cabinet session in New Year approves generalities in employment development

Iran’s cabinet hold its first session in Iranian New Year (which starts on March 21), and regarding the year’s naming by Supreme Leader as "Resistance Economy; Production and Employment", put evaluation of grounds for a leap forward in domestic production and raise in employment, on its agenda.

In the session, which was directed by Vice President, the Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare Ministry was appointed as the secretariat (administrative office) of employment council and the ministry also submitted its investigation, evaluation and suggested approaches for employment development to the cabinet, of which its generalities has been approved by the government.

The cabinet also decided to address national division of labor, determination of quantitative objectives in major economic sectors and selection of most capable parts for growth and employment in industrial, agricultural, services and infrastructure, in cooperation with executive organizations.

The administration, regarding president "Hassan Rouhani"’s visit to Khouzestan in the month of Esfand (early March) designated each executive body’s tasks in dealing with the province’s problems in water supply and sanitation, dust and sandstorms and agricultural revitalizing plans.
