“Fatemeh Hashemi”, daughter of Ayatollah "Akbar Hashemi”, Iranian former president and former chairman of Expediency Discernment Council in the memorial ceremony for her father said that he had 82 years old but was healthier than me, there are ambiguities about his death and we’re not quite sure what has happened.

“When I went to the funeral ceremony, I witnessed the truth. Considering the waves of the crowd, I asked myself, why should I ever cry, I have to be happy and delighted that after 37 years, we’re having such a funeral ceremony. People see me and ask me what’s Hashemi’s legacy. I certainly have to be happy that I have such a father whose legacy is being honored” she added.

Stressing that her father has always sought easy death, Fatemeh Hashemi told that I regret and often cry about chances that I lost for meeting and staying more with him. “Today I tell myself that I wish I could have known more about the secrets in his heart. He believed that personal matters shouldn’t be publicized but he used to talk about political issues” she added.

She demanded, the society stop griefing for him and follow his path and his legacy.

Hashemi stressed that her father believed in industrial construction, being moderate, political realism and modernity and firmly believed that we in the society can do extensive actions.
