Foreign ministers of the P5+1 group of countries and Iran are likely to meet on Sept. 22 in New York, an informed source told.

According to the report, the meeting will take place on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, which kicked off Sep. 13 and will continue over the week.

The meeting will be the first of its kind since Jan. 16 when the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA, aka nuclear deal) was implemented.

The report speculated that the sides will discuss Tehran’s dissatisfaction with the measures taken by the West to remove obstacles against re-establishing Iran's banking ties with the world.

The P5+1 (China, France, Russia, the UK, the US as well as Germany) reached a historic deal with Iran last year to curb the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program in return for lifting the nuclear related sanctions.
