Iran start new round of negotiations with Switzerland

Iran and Switzerland held a new round of political negotiations.

The negotiations were led by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for European and European Countries Majid Takt-Ravanchi and Swiss State Secretary of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), Yves Rossier, in Bern.

Officials of the two sides in charge of judicial issues and fighting terrorism were present in the meeting.

The participants discussed bilateral ties, regional developments and cooperation in legal issues and human rights in three groups.

The negotiations led to making views of the two countries closer in issues of mutual interests.

Iran and Switzerland also conferred on political and economic relations, regional developments, fighting terrorism and Islamophobia, facilitating the JCPOA in settlement of banking issues and facilitating judicial cooperation.

The two sides stressed continuing the negotiations to pave the way for implementing agreements for developing bilateral ties in various fields.
