ILNA: The Iranian Embassy in the UN has refuted recent claims on its nuclear program published in The Washington Post.

“It is a pity that the newspaper has published the false and trite claims by a terrorist group whose anti - humanitarian intents are known to all, ” the embassy stated in an announcement.

Rejecting the claims on grounds of favorable IAEA reports on Tehran ‘s nuclear activities, the announcement says that they come as part of an Iranophobia campaign aimed at isolating the Islamic Republic from the international arena.

The group had claimed that they had found documents on secret nuclear facilities around the Iranian capital of Tehran.

According to Washington Post, an Iranian exile group on Tuesday accused Iran ‘s government of conducting secret research with the aim of developing nuclear weapons, even as it is negotiating potential constraints on its ability to do so.

The claims however could not be independently verified and U. S. officials declined to comment, the newspaper stated.
