IAEA access to verify Iran's nuclear activities is sufficient: Ulyanov
Russia's ambassador and permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna stated that the level of access of International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors to verify Iran's nuclear activities is sufficient within the framework of the recent agreement.
"The director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency has returned from Iran with good results," Mikhail Ulyanov tweeted sunday night.
Although the implementation of the Additional Protocol will be suspended for another one days, the Agency and Iran have reached a joint agreement that will allow the verification activities to be maintained at a sufficient level.
Earlier, Stephen Clement, the EU's representative to Vienna-based international organizations, tweeted that the IAEA had sufficient access to verify Iran's nuclear activities under the new agreement.
The International Atomic Energy Agency and the Islamic Republic of Iran at the end of the IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi's visit to Tehran issued a joint statement on the continuation of the essential activities of the IAEA inspectors in Iran.
