New BMW 5 series a bit too pricey in Iran
A local company, Persia Khodro, offering BMW models, has announced its official price for the latest 530i Sedan.
According to the automotive website Asbe Bokhar, the price ranges from 4.9 billion to 5.6 billion rials ($130,000 to $150,000).
A survey in other countries shows the same model is sold for $62,000 to $73,000 in the international market. The fully redesigned 2017 BMW 5 Series brings a slew of new features, making it one of the most technologically advanced luxury midsize cars.
This model emphasizes comfort and while it is fairly composed, sportier rivals provide a more engaging driving experience. Base of the 2017 BMW 530i comes with an all-new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 248 horsepower.
For 2017, the 5 Series gains a redesigned chassis and a new, lighter five-link rear suspension. Overall, it sheds 62 kilograms from its predecessor thanks to the use of lightweight materials, including high-strength steel and magnesium.
