Iran's Oil Minister hailing government's achievement in South Pars, tried to answer critiques.

"Bijan Namdar Zangeneh", Iranian Oil Minister, regarding 11th cabinet’s efforts during these years, hailing the achievements tried to defend the Ministry and its economical team’s performance.

According to Zangeneh, who addressed a press brief in Assalouye and on the eve of opening 6 major oil megaprojects, stressed: "The South Pars’ phases took 10 years to get completed and all of the steps were taken during the peak of sanctions. 2.5 years of this cabinet’s tenure was right in the middle of harshest sanctions which blocked access to banks, goods and equipments. In the peak of sanctions we did a great job and today we reached undeniable achievements."

"In a word, South Pars is the symbol of implementation of Resistance Economy. Nowhere like South Pars, Resistance Economy was fully revealed" he emphasized.

Top Petrochemical official told: "Currently we have internally generative and knowledge based production and were able to keep value completion chains. Never before, the petrochemical complexes were close to Oil and Gas units and the matter is unique in the region. This is an indication of 20 years of hard work in the Oil Ministry to create such a grandeur."

Regarding measures taken in reducing air pollution in oil reach fields, he told: "From the day that I entered the Ministry, I opposed plans for drying out wet lands or shallow waters. Despite costly operations I always advocated and supported conducting oil projects in those areas without drying them."
