Peugeot has extensive plans for collaboration with Iran; top official tells ILNA

Group PSA vice president has elaborated his company's plans for cooperation between Iran and France.

"Jean-Christophe Quemard", Group PSA's Africa and middle east executive vice president in an interview with ILNA correspondent regarding the group's cooperation with Iranian partner has recounted his 25 visits to Iran during last 2 years and his stay for a week in every month said:" the fact indicates that we have extensive planning for the cooperation." 

"After founding IKAP and the new production line that would be established in Kashan, today DC as a luxury vehicle is planned to come to the country, which is stressing our interest in collaborating with private sector as well. " he added.  

Stressing on the company's adherence to it's commitments, he counted technology transfer and automotive part production as some of such commitments. "You have capable automotive part producers who can follow European standards. " Group PSA official added.  

Rejecting the rumors regarding using obsolete platforms and French interest in foreign parts, Quemard announced that the company plans to export 30 percent of the parts that would be produced inside the country as its major brand's products to middle eastern market with the presence of Japanese and Korean competitors. "Therefore we have to produce the best " he emphasized.  

The top Peugeot Citroën official at the end describing the company's long term plans, announced his company's program in selling one million cars until 2025 in middle east and Africa and regarded Iran Khodro and Saipa's share as 200000 and 15000 vehicles per year.
