Iranian Minister for Culture and Islamic Guidance talks about exchanges with Saudi Arabia regarding Hajj.

“Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri”, Iranian Minister for Culture and Islamic Guidance on the sideline of cabinet meeting regarding Hajj, said that Hajj has always been on the top of Iran's agenda and its interests and government has done all its effort to hold the spiritual ceremony.

Stating that sending of pilgrims is the government’s policy, he emphasized that Saudi Arabia should accept our conditions that have been mentioned in a letter, otherwise they are responsible for whatever happens” he added.

Regarding a judge of Fadjr Film Festival having double citizenship, he called all the actions legal and said that no one in the ministry has double citizenship but if the jurers and judges and the artist would be double citizen, the matter is not related to Culture and Islamic Guidance ministry.

Adding that the ministry is not supporting double citizenship, he said that we can’t interfere in people’s citizenship. This year’s festival has been held good, although there were marginal issues and disrespect.

“We welcome critics but can’t stand destroying people’s characters” he stressed.
